Ellen Horan, author of 31 Bond Street: A Novel of Murder, Innocence and Power in New York City, will be at the Tenement Museum tomorrow night for their latest in the Tenement Talks series. The novel is based on the true story of a high profile dentist who was brutally murdered on Bond Street in 1857. The story consumed national interest and Horan scrutinized actual newspaper coverage as the historic case against the dentist’s supposed mistress (and housekeeper) unfolded – the way it would in the tabloids today. | 6:30pm | FREE | 108 Orchard St. |
