We get a break from the rain showers today. It’ll be mostly cloudy with a high of 39. The showers return tomorrow, but Saturday looks promising (high 40’s and lots of sunshine). It’s MTA day in Manhattan. The City Council and advocacy organizations are hoping for a big turnout at tonight’s hearing at the Fashion Institute of Technology on the transit agency’s proposed service cuts. Just when you thought it wasn’t possible, there’s even more hype over the “Second Coming” (otherwise known as next week’s opening of Keith McNally’s Pulino’s). We’ll have an update on a neighborhood organization’s quest to rezone the east side of the Bowery. And there’s lots of coverage today of the New Museum’s new exhibition, “Skin Fruit.” We’ll post a few photos of our own.
