Nathan Skiles “Black Forest/White Lightning” at Sloan Fine Art

Must Read

Nathan Skiles from Indiana has a solo show, “Black Forest/White Lightning” opening tonight at Sloan Fine Art, (128 Rivington) from 6-8PM in conjunction with Greene Contemporary. According to the press release, the show is a “collection of densely adorned cuckoo clocks” made in part from foam rubber, and other materials like dreamcatchers and Rubik’s cubes. The clocks  “lend themselves easily to observations on the convenient cliches and ‘rules’ of time and space.” You can read an in-depth interview with Skiles and see more of his work at Hi-Fructose.
