  1. “Gerson has said he has a strong desire to stay in public service when his term ends in a few days.”
Let’s see if that ‘public service’ job is not an assistant commissionership, in line with allegations from credible sources (and never denied by Gerson when questioned by reporters from two downtown weeklies) that Gerson was promised an asst. commissionership by Bloomberg if he switched his vote on term limits.
Gerson did switch from his original position of opposition to Bloomberg’s scheme.
Such an appointment will collaborate the allegations.
I can’t wait to see what happens next.
You heard it here first, folks.

  2. It would be interesting to see if Bloomberg goes down the road of placing Gerson in his adminstration. For the most part, Bloomberg’s appointments are hard working individuals while Gerson is notably a chronic no show. I am not sure Bloomberg really wants Gerson. I don’t think Gerson would be able to pass DOI scrutiny as he has violated serious campaign finance laws by not repaying the over 50K loan to his campaign when he did not receive matching funds. I think that would preclude Gerson from Getting a plum job in Bloomberg’s administration . My advice to Gerson is take a much needed vacation, relax, enjoy some quiet time and refocus and return with a vengeance!
