Educational Alliance Accepting Preschool Applications

Must Read

-1

From the Educational Alliance:

The Educational Alliance Preschool
on the Lower East Side is currently accepting applications for the 2010-2011
school term. With its large, bright, airy classrooms, the Preschool offers
classes by age group, including “Almost 2s”, 2 year olds, 3 year
olds and a brand new classroom for 4 year olds – created in
response to the restricted number of Universal Pre-K spaces in this
neighborhood.

“At
the Educational Alliance Preschool, we believe that young children learn through
active involvement in a warm, nurturing environment that builds self-confidence
and a joyful experience of life,” says Preschool Director Leslie Pilder.
“Play – the true work of childhood – provides the foundation
for academic learning."

The
Preschool provides quality early childhood education based on Jewish values and
culture. Neighborhood children and parents receive educational, emotional, and
practical support, benefiting the family, the child and the entire community. Families
of all ethnic and religious backgrounds are welcome.

Applications
are due December 30, 2009. Please note that this is a change from previous
years. Financial
aid is available. The Preschool is located at 197 East Broadway on the Lower
East Side, convenient to the F train, and we offer full day, half day, extended
day and 2, 3, 5 day/week options.
