If you’re a fan of 2nd Floor on Clinton, the cocktail lounge at 67 Clinton St., you only have a couple more weeks to enjoy one last drink there. The team announced today that their last night will be Wednesday, July 29. As we reported in May, the building has been sold and the previous property owner, Tony Powe also decided to sell 2nd Floor on Clinton and Barramundi, the ground floor establishment.

Last night, Community Board 3’s liquor licensing panel offered its tentative support for Tim Gashi and Valentino Gjakaj to take over both spaces (the full board must vote later in the month before the application heads to the State Liquor Authority).

2nd Floor is run by Powe and partners Ektoras Binikos and Sarah Miller. In an email today to fans, they wrote:

Do drop in for one last (or more!) cocktail over the next few weeks. We’d love to say goodbye and share our exciting plans for the future. Ektoras is planning his own cocktail lounge in Harlem and Sarah is concentrating more on her successful career in modeling and acting.  Tony continues to build out the Zipcard networking program on the Lower East Side and is exploring new ventures in hospitality – stay tuned!

The lounge opens at 7 p.m.  The new operators are planning to revamp the first and second floor spaces with a larger focus on food. More details about their plans as they become available.
