As you have no doubt heard, the “Occupy” movement is trying to stage a nationwide general strike today – May Day.  Their goal is to bring 125 U.S. cities to a standstill.  There are many protest events planned throughout the city, including a “Wildcat March” at East Houston Street and 2nd Avenue at 1 p.m. The unlicensed March has definitely gotten the attention of the NYPD.
