This past weekend, City Councilmember Margaret Chin, along with City Councilmember Peter Koo, co-hosted the City Council’s Lunar New Year celebration at Pace University. Many of their colleagues were there, along with other elected officials from across New York. Invited guests enjoyed a lot of good food and watched many performances, including the traditional lion dance. Chin, of course, is the first Chinese person to represent Chinatown and the first Chinese woman to serve on the Council.
