From the Inbox: Local resident and Lo-Down reader, Cass Lilien, wrote us an uplifting note —

“Hoping to share a story about why I love my neighborhood and Dah Shop.”

My bike and main source of transportation was run over while parked in front of my apartment on Orchard Street.  The back wheel looked like a sad potato chip.  I carried it to Dah Shop and locked it up out front.  I kept meaning to stop by and unlock it and bring it in but a bad foot kept me away.  About two weeks later I stopped by Dah Shop and it was closed but there was my bike – back wheel fixed still locked up just as I left it.  I burst into tears. So nice to know people still do nice things for strangers for no reason.  I went back the next day and had to insist on paying.  Dah Shop made a loyal customer out of me.  Trying to spread the word!

The Lo-Down featured the shop’s owner, Tyrone Williams, in our “My LES” series a few years ago.
