You know the frustration. You arrive at your destination only to find there are no available docks for your Citi Bike. In an effort to alleviate this situation, Citi Bike is expanding its bike valet program.

At heavily used stations, staff members are on hand to help increase bike capacity. Starting this week, nine existing stations have been reactivated for the spring season, and 21 new sites will be added in the next few weeks. Here’s a look at the valet stations on and near the Lower East Side:

-Allen Street and Stanton Street (coming in early April)

-Canal Street and Rutgers Street )coming in mid-April)

-East 10th Street and Avenue A (Monday through Friday, beginning at 7:30 a.m./7:30 p.m.)

-St. Mark’s Place and 1st Avenue (starting today)

-East 7th Street & Avenue A (coming in early May)

More guidance from Citi Bike:

When you arrive at one of these stations, please dock your bike as you would at any other station. It is each rider’s responsibility to properly dock their bike and end their trip. If you need assistance, feel free to reach out to the Citi Bike staff on site. These services are available on a first-come, first-served basis. We have limited availability based on off-station bike parking capacities, so look for a valet icon on the Citi Bike map for live service status before riding.
