Wobble Palace, the quirky, hilariously cringe-inducing indie film that won best feature at this year’s Lower East Side Film Festival is opening theatrically at Metrograph this Friday.
The millennial sex comedy is co-written by Eugene Koltyarenko, who also co-stars and directed the film, and Dasha Nekrasova, who also co-stars. It takes place on the eve of the 2016 election, during the rocky fourth year of their relationship, which is about to devolve into a “Tinder trawling, misfired polyamory, noxious narcissism, real-estate-related romantic contingency, Coachella-themed erotic role play, and cohabitation-as-a-crawling-up-the-walls nightmare.”
There will be a Q&A after the 7:00p screening on Friday with co-writer and star Dasha Nekrasova; co-writer/director/star Eugene Koltyarenko, and actor Vishwam Velandy, moderated by Nick Pinkerton
