Police are asking for help in finding a suspect who splashed hot coffee on two women in the Delancey Street subway station and stole money from his victims.
It happened Monday, Aug. 21 at around 9:45 a.m. The women, ages 24 and 25, were walking down the stairs to the J Train when a man took $5 from one of the women. He then threw coffee on both of them, ran up the stairs and headed west on Delancey Street.
Police say the suspect is a Black male, 45 to 55 years old, with facial hair and salt and pepper hair. He was last seen wearing a dark colored long sleeved shirt and light colored jeans.
