In case you’ve recently found yourself longing for bygone political eras, you may want to check out this unusual pre-Super Bowl event coming up on Sunday — it’s the annual Big Apple Chapter of the American Political Items Collectors (APIC) show, and it’s coming to a new location, right here on the Lower East Side. The Seward Park High School Alumni Association has teamed up with APIC to bring the show to the newly renovated Grand Hall of St. Mary’s Church at 440 Grand St. (between Pitt and Clinton Streets), from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Some of the biggest political memorabilia dealers in the northeast will be on hand. The show promises a festive atmosphere for buying, selling and trading political campaign memorabilia and for socializing with other collectors.

The national group’s Facebook Group Page invites “those who collect political memorabilia such as campaign buttons, presidential autographs, candidate trinkets, cause pins, and everything else in between.”  Along with political items, there will be there will be plenty of Seward Park High School memorabilia on display.

The cost of entry, whether to browse or buy, is $3.00.
