
Esther Marlowe recently sent us some of her archival photos from the Lower East Side. She lived in the LaGuardia Houses from 1957 until 1970. She takes photos all over Manhattan.
This first scene shows Delancey Street at Essex Street in 1969. You can see Cohen’s Optical across the street, which still exists in the same location (the facade was recently restored.)Â This next photo was taken at Delancey Street at Essex Street, also in 1969.

Two more images — one from Orchard Street, another showing the Twin Towers in the distance from 1982.
