The Kidz Smile Center offers specialist care for young smiles. We believe that pediatric dentists are the pediatricians of dentistry. We are a primary and specialty oral care provider for infants and children through adolescence, including those with special health needs.

Children should have a dental home – preferably with a pediatric dentist who specialized in the oral health of children and adolescents. Early childhood dental visits help a child acclimate to the dental environment and become comfortable with his/her pediatric dentist. By attending appointments on a regular basis, children learn to put a high value on oral care and can establish lifelong healthy habits. The AAPD recommends that children have their first dental visit when their first tooth appears or before the age of 1.
Meet Dr. Liu
Dr. Katrina Liu (a.k.a. Dr. Kat) earned both her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree and her specialty in Pediatric Dentistry from the prestigious New York University College of Dentistry. Prior to dental school, she graduated with honors in Biology from Brown University, and became a published researcher after completing her senior thesis.
Dr. Kat’s ultimate goal is to provide all of her patients with memorable, fun, and anxiety-free dental visits. She has a strong commitment to educating her patients on preventative oral hygiene and nutritional habits. Additionally, Dr. Kat has extensive training in patient behavior across diverse demographics, including the treatment of special needs patients.
Dr. Kat resides in New York City’s Midtown West neighborhood with her husband, two cats, and a dog. She enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, trying out new restaurants, and jogging through Central Park. Dr. Kat is a native English speaker, and is also fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
