The Korean fried chicken spot, Seoul Chicken, has temporarily shuttered its Lower East Side space. Word came from a PR rep this morning that there’s an issue with the oil pipes at 71 Clinton, where the restaurant has been operating since the fall of 2014:
Unfortunately the issue is damaging the overall customer experience (as reflected on Yelp), and cannot easily be rectified in this current space. As such, the team is looking for a new space to recreate their unique dining, music and viewing experience, however are available for private events and catering in the meantime, and will continue to curate and execute exciting culinary driven events such as their “Eggs Over…” music brunch series (in pop-up format).
The last day at 71 Clinton St. will be Sunday.
