Last week, we mentioned the temporary closure of Fung Tu, the creative Chinese restaurant at 22 Orchard St., due to building gas issues. Gas service still hasn’t been restored but the restaurant is reopening tonight with a limited menu.
Chefs Jonathan Wu and Matt John Wells will be using indiction burners and hot plates, plus there will be some drink specials starting this evening and continuing through the weekend. They include 2 for 1 still wines by the glass throughout the night and 20% off wines by the bottle beginning Sunday.
Menu options will include: smoked & fried dates stuffed with duck; China-quiles (steamed eggs with Sichuan pork sauce and crunchy yucca chips) and a pork belly egg roll. See the full menu below.
Fung Tu opens at 6 p.m tonight.
