Renovations began a few months ago at 139 Ludlow St., the future home of Soho House, the posh private club. According to Crain’s, “real estate investors are getting excited” for the club’s arrival on the once bohemian block. The story, posted on Friday, noted:
Princeton Holdings is betting that the entire block will become more vibrant with the arrival of the exclusive club. The real estate investment firm is close to acquiring a four-story building at 137 Ludlow St., right next door to the upcoming Soho House, for about $8 million. According to sources, the firm will renovate the property and lease it to a restaurant and bar operator. The company is expecting Ludlow Street to become a more prominent destination with the presence of Soho House.
The building is currently home of Libation, the large restaurant/bar/club. The building was purchased by Libation co-owners Daniel and Terence Tubridy in 2007 for $5.5 million.
