HHC President Alan D. Aviles said, “Gouverneur is an essential part of the Lower East Side community, and Dr. Sullivan will ensure that it continues to provide quality healthcare to all patients regardless of their ability to pay.”

Gouverneur is one of the largest institutions on the Lower East Side and one of the biggest diagnostic and treatment centers in New York.  The facility is in the final stages of a $250 million modernization program, including new and refurbished buildings on Madison Street.
