An indie cafe celebrates its third birthday on the Lower East Side.
Yesterday afternoon we heard from Mark Hernandez of Berkli Parc, the neighborhood coffee and sandwich shop at Allen and Delancey. To celebrate their anniversary, he’s offering all-day happy hour — beer and wine for $3. As we have noted in past stories: Berkli Parc has fended off some stiff competition from the chains (Subway and Starbucks are right across the street). It’s good to see an independent place thriving. The restaurant is open on Friday nights until midnight.
