New restaurants open at a dizzying pace in our neighborhood — so it shouldn’t come as any surprise that there are lots of different nominees in this category of our Best of the Lower East Side Reader Survey.
There’s Dimes, the new market-fresh breakfast and lunch spot on Division Street; the much-buzzed about newcomer Contra and Black Tree, which specializes in creative sandwiches — all recent arrivals on the LES. Early-bird voters are also showing their love for places that have been around for a year or more, including Forgtmenot, Yunnan Kitchen and Mission Chinese. What’s your favorite new place?
