The latest Banksy piece has popped up on Ludlow Street, just above Stanton. And it’s quite an elaborate piece of work, at that.
This showed up this morning on a car and a truck trailer in the empty lot next to 159 Ludlow. It’s part of the internationally acclaimed artist’s “residency on the streets of New York” happening all this month. Pushing the limits of what could be termed “multi-media,” the pseudonymous artist has included Audio Guides on the website for the show. Some are playful, making fun of the art world, as he is known to do, and some – like the one included with this latest piece, are bone-chilling political commentary (also a hallmark of Banksy’s work). Have a listen.
