The L.E.S. Film Festival has announced a fun lineup for its 2012 program, touting big name directors like Abel Ferrara and big screen talent like Willem Dafoe, Dolly Parton and Dustin Lance Black. The local festival, now in its second year, focuses on low-budget film-making and requires submissions to be made for under $200,000.
The films are screened in a festive, intimate environment followed by filmmaker Q&As. They have added additional venues; along with the Grand Opening storefront space, films will be screened at the Sunshine Cinema and The Crosby Street Hotel. The festival has also snagged an eclectic panel of judges, including actress Susan Sarandon, downtown performance legend Justin Bond and local filmmaker/photographer Harvey Wang.
The festival runs March 6th – 18th. All screenings are BYOB (!) and tickets are $10. For tickets go here.
