Roots & Vines Seeks Permission to Stay Open Later

Must Read

It's that time of the month again… Monday night Community Board 3's Licensing Committee is back in action. "Roots & Vines," the coffee shop on Grand Street, will ask the committee for permission to extend its hours. "1 Essex LLC" had been scheduled to make its case for a new liquor license. But the mystery restaurant, on the corner of Essex and Canal, has been removed from the agenda. The location has been the subject of much speculation. Internet rumors that celebrated restauranteurs Keith McNally or Jean Georges Vongerichten were behind the venture have turned out to be untrue. The meeting starts at 630pm. It's at the JSA/Green Residence, 200 East 5th Street. The full agenda can be viewed here.
