Widespread hysteria is gripping New York City, or at least local news media outlets, as a blizzard of allegedly “historic proportions” descends the Northeast. Depending on which forecast you believe, we could get anywhere between 6 inches (not such a big deal) to 15 inches. The brunt of the storm is expected after about 7 o’clock tonight. Amtrak is suspending service out of Penn Station to Boston and other northern locales effective midday. At the moment, the MTA has no plans to cut service. Hundreds of flights out of New York’s airports have already been canceled this morning. Not much in the way of LES cancellations yet, but here’s what we know:
