The New Museum is presenting the first US retrospective of the work of the painter, performer, poet, and writer Brion Gysin.  Gysin came to prominence in the late 1950s when he lived and worked at the infamous Beat Hotel in Paris and was a close friend and collaborator of William S. Burroughs.
