The Lower East Side Partnership in collaboration with the Essex Market are accepting submissions for a very unique and highly visible artwork to be installed at the new market space set to open early this spring. The canvas for this public art installation is located above the entryway to the new Essex Market’s demonstration and teaching kitchen.
This is a promotional post from one of our LES Partners, The Lower East Side Partnership:
On behalf of the NYC Department of Small Business Services, the Lower East Side Partnership would like to share free course opportunities for the local merchant community.
In the winter of 1940, Mayor LaGuardia formally opened the Essex Market, the fourth of ten public markets in New York City designed to move pushcarts off the street and vendors into stall spaces within modern indoor markets.
The Lower East Side Partnership wants to share Small Business Saturday® with you! It's a holiday shopping tradition, backed by American Express, that celebrates small businesses across the nation. And it wouldn't be a celebration without Lower East Side locals joining in.
New York’s quintessential fall festival is back and ready for pickle fanatics from all over the world. A dill-ightful collection of merchants will fill Orchard Street with the divine scent of brine offering everything from the simple pickle on a stick, to ice cream flavored with dill and garnished with gherkins.
The Lower East Side Partnership (LESP) is responsible for marketing and economic development initiatives that are designed to improve overall quality of life conditions on the Lower East Side. We regularly partner with locally based community organizations and institutions in order to increase exposure and drive foot traffic to merchants, cultural, and community facilities that act as the anchor institutions for our neighborhood.
