Community Board 3’s December Virtual Meeting Lineup

Here’s a look at some of the topics Community Board 3 will be taking up in December:

–On Wednesday, Dec. 2 the economic development committee meets to continue talking about a special zoning district in the East Village to support small businesses. Committee members will also discuss support for City Council legislation to facilitate outdoor performances.

–On Tuesday, Dec. 8 the transportation committee will consider several proposals impacting streets in the neighborhood. The city is looking yo change Robert F Wagner Sr. Place near the Brooklyn Bridge to one-way between South Street and South Street Turning Slip. The change is tied to the Brooklyn Bridge-Montgomery Coastal Resiliency Project. There’s also a proposal for alternate side parking on Attorney Street between East Houston Street and Stanton Street. There will be discussion of an upcoming January town hall meeting on the city’s open streets program to accommodate outdoor restaurant seating. And there will be an update on Citi Bike’s expansion plans.

–On Thursday, Dec. 10 the parks committee will continue its discussions regarding the East Side Coastal Resiliency Project.

–And on Monday, Dec. 14, the NYCHA and Section 8 housing subcommittee will talk about NYCHA’s Blueprint for Change and Preservation Trust Plan.
