Must Read

In anticipation of International Women’s Day on March 8, ICP hosts an evening conversation with Women Picturing Revolution creators Zoraida Lopez-Diago and Lesly Canossi Deschler. The two founders will discuss the creation, mission, activities, and stories behind the organization, which is dedicated to lifting up the work of female-identifying photographers who document conflicts, crises, and revolutions.

From organizing crucial conversations that center the voices and struggles of women photographers, to producing a forthcoming book on Representations of Black Motherhood and Photography, Women Picturing Revolution’s focus is on re-claiming and re-telling the history of photography to include stories that are often overlooked and underrepresented.

March 4 at 7:00pm //79 Essex St. // This is a free event, but be sure to register in advance, as ICP members have access to preferred seating in the reserved members’ section.
