Last night’s show at the East River Park bandshell was rained out. But SummerStage will be back on the Lower East Side the next three evenings, so hopefully the weather will cooperate.

Tonight at 7 p.m., it’s the New York City-based company, Elisa Monte Dance. There will be free dance classes on stage before the performance. And there’s food from The Fried Kitchen and Sweet Milk and Sugar Desserts. The show starts at 7 p.m.

Tomorrow night (Saturday), there’s a show by the Mountain Goats, the North Carolina-based indie-folk group. Again, the performance gets underway at 7 p.m.

And on Sunday, legendary Latin music star Eddie Palmieri is sure to attract a good and enthusiastic crowd. The Grammy Award-winning pianist, bandleader, musician, and composer, originally from Puerto Rico, founded La Perfecta and the Afro-Cuban supergroup Harlem River Drive, and helped to redefine salsa in in 60s and 70s. Palmieri goes on stage at 6 p.m. There will be food from Bernadette’s Place and Rostacy Jamaican Food.

All of the converts are free. Click here for more information. SummerStage is a production of the City Parks Foundation.
