(Video) Lower East Side Vigil For Pittsburgh Synagogue Victims

There was a vigil last night in front of Primitive Christian Church on East Broadway for the victims of the synagogue rampage in Pittsburgh. It was organized by Pastor Marc Rivera and Lower East Side District Leader Daisy Paez.  Members of the local clergy, including rabbis, elected officials and community leaders spoke. You can watch the whole event in the video we posted on Facebook Live.

As you may have read, the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society (HIAS), which the gunman singled out in his anti-semitic rants, was founded on the Lower East Side in 1881 (its headquarters are now in Maryland).
