Rabbi Aviad Bodner of the Stanton Street Shul let us know yesterday that there’s a new option for people on the Lower East Side who keep kosher.

Falafix is a vegetarian restaurant that opened earlier in the summer at 96 Stanton St. (near Orchard Street). Bodner just certified the business as kosher. The menu includes classic falafel sandwiches in pita and platters, as well as several variations (jalapeño, pico de gallo, etc.) There’s also a falafel burger, a wild mushroom and hummus pita and a “create your own salad” option.

See the full menu here.
