Kings Co. Imperial, a hipster Chinese restaurant from Williamsburg, opened this week alongside the Williamsburg Bridge.

Like the Brooklyn original, the new outpost at 168 1/2 Delancey St. is focused on fresh produce and modern flourishes. New The York Times’ Florence Fabricant explained:

The chef and partner, Josh Grinker… (is) offering crisp whole mandarin fish with either Sichuan or sweet and pungent sauces, and salt-and-pepper veal ribs, in addition to favorites like wok-seared long dumplings, Sichuan cucumbers and kung pao chicken. “We’re also reviving the pupu platter, assuming the younger generation knows what it is,” said Tracy Young, Mr. Grinker’s business partner, referring to an assortment of small bites clustered around a tiny hibachi, the perfect sidekick to tiki-style drinks.

The restaurant is open 5:30 p.m.-midnight seven days a week. Lunch service will be added in the fall. This space was formerly occupied by Moscow 57, which closed in late 2015. You can see the new menus here.
