Brooklyn Cyclist Dies After Fall on Manhattan Bridge
A 36-year-old man died after falling from his bike on the Manhattan Bridge yesterday.
According to Gothamist, Philip Ginsberg of Brooklyn was riding with several other cyclists when he lost consciousness and apparently hit one of the support beams on the bridge. A police spokesperson said Ginsberg likely suffered a “medical episode.” He was wearing a helmet.
Ginsberg was taken to New York-Presbyterian Hospital Lower Manhattan hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The city medical examiner will perform am autopsy.
