As previously mentioned, there’s a Nike 5K race happening on Sunday (Earth Day). The runners will come across the Manhattan Bridge, winding up at Basketball City/Pier 36 at around 8:30 p.m. According to the city’s Department of Transportation, the following streets will be closed from 5-9 p.m.:
- Manhattan Bridge Outer Roadway
- Canal Street between Manhattan Bridge and Allen Street
- Allen Street between Canal Street and Pike Street (Southbound)
- Pike Street between Allen Street and Pike Slip (Southbound)
- Pike Slip between Pike Street and South Street (Southbound)
- South Street between Pike Slip and Montgomery Street (Northbound)
- Basketball City / Pier 36
The runners will partake in an after-party at Pier 36, which includes a performance by Diplo.
