The Lower East Side/Chinatown now has a restaurant specializing in avocados.
Avocado Appetit recently debuted at 114 Eldridge, on the block between Grand and Broome streets. Eater recently checked in with the owners, “lifelong neighborhood residents James Mai and Vincent Lin,” who said they wanted to bring a healthy restaurant to the neighborhood.
It’s a counter service spot with several varieties of avocado toast, plus sandwiches, smoothies and avocado fries. Opening hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. See more info on the restaurant’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
