A man was hit and killed by an F train in the Delancey Street Station today.
It happened at around 12:45 p.m. No details are available as of yet on exactly what happened. F trains were rerouted over the A line from West Fourth Street to Jay Street.
UPDATE 5:27 p.m. Police say the man jumped in front of the train this afternoon and that he was pronounced dead at the scene. The conductor said he saw the victim leap onto the tracks as the train entered the station.
F trains are stopping along the A ine in both directions from Jay St to W 4 St because of a person struck by a train at Delancey St.
