Next week the owners of Orchard Grocer will be hosting a “Vegan Ice Cream Social Justice,” debuting their new Modern Love Soft Serve.
The fairly new vegan deli from Erica and Sara Kubersky is located right next to MooShoes, which the sisters also own. Modern Love Brooklyn is Orchard Grocer’s sister restaurant in Williamsburg. The soft serve is made from a blend of cashews and olive oil. They’re naturally colored with fruit and are free of gluten, soy and palm oil. There will be sundaes, cones, cookie sandwiches and sprinkles. The debut flavors: vanilla bean and strawberry fields.
All proceeds will go to the Ali Forney Center for LGBTQ Youth.
The ice cream social takes place next Tuesday, Aug. 22, from 6-8 p.m. Orchard Grocer is located at 78 Orchard St. Here’s the Facebook invite.
