There are all sorts of activities coming up this weekend as part of Lower East Side History Month. One happening you might want to check out on Sunday is the Lag B’Omer celebration in the Siempre Verde Community Garden.
The Jewish holiday happens to coincide with Mother’s Day. This event, a collaboration between the garden and the Stanton Street Synagogue, will be a celebration of nature. The kids will be able to make special Mother’s Day gifts (including potted seeds). There will also be marshmallow roasting!
Stop by the garden (Staton Street at Attorney Street) from 10 a.m.-noon.
