Lunch at Lucky Bee. This is Khao Soi Curry of Organic Chicken.

Here’s what’s new in the Lower East Side restaurant world:

–Lucky Bee, the Southeast Asian restaurant on Broome Street, just started serving lunch this week. Menu items include: Szechuan salt and pepper squid, steamed sesame and pork dumplings, grilled beef/chicken/shrimp skewers and organic chicken curry. Prices range from $13-16 for most dishes although some of the larger plates are more expensive. Show them some social media love this week and you’ll get a free drink.

–Gerardo Gonzalez’s new restaurant on Bayard Street has already changed its name. Lalo became Lalito this week. A restaurant rep tells Eater, “The team decided to update the name of the restaurant to avoid confusion with similarly named restaurants.”  Cafe Lalo on the Upper West Side comes up on Google as, “the most famous cafe in New York.”

–At Jimmy No. 43 on Sunday, it’s the Chefs’ Consortium, a walk-around, buffet style brunch featuring dishes from four chefs. The menu includes: scrambled eggs with local cheddar and fresh herbs, poached Feather Ridge eggs with ratatouille and tomato hollandaise sauce, chicken and waffles, creamy local polenta with Hudson Valley duck hearts, organic micro green salad with olive oil vinaigrette, local roasted potatoes with scape pesto, ricotta fritters with Classie Parker’s fruit preserves and local cheese with honey. The cost is $25 (drinks are not included). You can make reservations here.

–Passover begins this year the evening of Monday, April 10th. Russ & Daughters is getting ready with a special takeout menu (you need to order at least three days in advance). All of the traditional items are available, including gefilte fish, chopped liver, charoset and potato kugel. There will also be a second night seder at the Russ & Daughters Cafe, this year featuring entertainment from comedian and podcast host Catie Lazarus. More info here.

–This coming Saturday, there will be a grand opening party at Orchard Grocer, the new vegan deli from the team behind Moo Shoes. There will be samples and special deals throughout the day. The deli is located at 78 Orchard St. Here’s the Facebook invite.
