Local menswear designer Robert James isn’t hiding his political views during this presidential campaign season. He has collaborated with artist Brian Andrew Witeley (Witeley created the Trump gravestone, “The Legacy Stone,” that appeared briefly in Central Park before authorities removed it) to create a limited edition graphic tee based on an actual rubbing of the gravestone. The slogan on the gravestone reads, “Made America Hate Again.”
Whiteley told the New York Times, he was “ ‘not calling for the death of Donald.’ He continued, ‘I’m making an artistic statement,’ suggesting that Mr. Trump should rethink his legacy.”
In preparation for the final presidential debate tonight, Robert James is offering a “Dump Trump Debate Discount” on the the tee; it’s $40, is available in black or white and includes free shipping.
