–Local residents are urging the MTA to block a Mexican restaurant, Gracias Mama, from creating an entrance alongside the F Train stairwell on Rutgers Street. A transit authority spokesperson said, however, “We have been to the site… We did not see anything that gave us concern.” The entrance was moved from East Broadway to get around a state law preventing new liquor permits located within 200 feet of churches and schools.
