The Cuchifritos Gallery in Essex Market will debut Chilean Artist Denise Treizman‘s DelanceyLudlowRivingtonNorfolk tomorrow night from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.  Treizman will present some locally inspired artwork that combines found objects (most of them within a few block radius – hence the show’s hyper-local title) with her own creative use of store bought materials, to pay tribute to the sentiment and spirit of the Lower East Side. The gallery notes, “The Lower East Side’s history of immigration and the ideas of discovery, struggle, and reinvention that surround the neighborhood, are echoed in the dichotomy of optimism and melancholy in Denise’s sculptures. ”

The show is curated by Kelly Schroer and is on view May 6 through June 5, Tuesday -Sunday, 12 p.m. – 6 p.m.
