Delancey Street Associates, the team building Essex Crossing, is now offering regular construction updates, via email. Here’s this week’s version:
Site 1 (242 Broome Street)
Over the course of the next week, the Site 1 team will continue with excavation activities. Aside from trucking and excavators, no heavy equipment or drill rigs will be required. There will be no after hours work taking place.
Site 2 (115 Delancey Street)
The activities at Site 2 for the upcoming week include excavation and support of the cellar and sub-cellar. This will require oversized vehicle deliveries in the early morning hours. The team will be working on Saturday between the hours of 9am-5pm.
Site 5 (145 Clinton Street)
Foundation work continues at Site 5. A large concrete pour is anticipated to take place on Tuesday, February 9th in the early morning hours.
Site 6 (175 Delancey Street)
The coming week’s activity includes a continuation of current work which includes prepping for the foundation at Site 6. The first major concrete pour is anticipated to take place in the early morning on Saturday, February 13th. The trucks associated with this pour will leave the site by 6pm. Low impact concrete finishing work will continue into the evening hours. In conjunction with this work, two concrete pumps will be placed within a barricaded area on Broome Street. Additionally, a concrete pump will be placed on Delancey Street, east of Clinton Street, in a parking lane. Pedestrian and vehicular traffic will be diverted in full compliance with city regulations.
