Do you love oysters? If so, you’ll want to check out “Oyster Row,” a shucking competition and oyster eating contest Sunday on the Lower East Side.

The event is the creation of Ryan Chadwick, co-owner of Grey Lady, the Delancey Street restaurant. He’s teamed up with the Lower East Side Partnership and three other local restaurants. Hotel Chantelle, Ten Bells and Claw Daddy’s will all be involved. Plus Peter Malinowski of The Oyster Project will be joining in. Anyone is welcome to take part in the oyster eating contest.

Judging will be Julie Qiu, known as New York’s “oyster sommelier.” The festivities get underway at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Grey Lady (77 Delancey St.).

If everything goes well, Chadwick hopes to partner with the LES Partnership in future oyster-centric happenings on Orchard Street.
