–At 9:30 this morning, the City Council holds a hearing on the mayor’s controversial zoning proposal known as “Mandatory Inclusionary Housing.” Community Board 3 has expressed major concerns about the city’s plan. It remains to be seen how City Council member Margaret Chin will respond to those concerns.

Community Board 3’s transportation committee meets this evening at 6:30 p.m. in CB3’s office, 59 East 4th St. Among the agenda items is a proposal to change traffic patterns and parking rules on Broome Street, alongside the Essex Crossing construction site.
