Cops Look For Suspect in String of Lower East Side Muggings
Police are looking for a suspect wanted in the robbery and attempted robbery of several women on the Lower East Side.
This image was taken by a security camera before he targeted a 23-year-old woman in an apartment building elevator December 23 at Columbia and East Houston streets. He ran off with her purse. Cops believe he tried to take items from women in two other instances, but fled empty-handed.

According to DNA Info, he fled after the woman threw hot tea at him. In another incident on December 28, the man put an 88-year-old woman in a head lock after she left the Western Union on Essex Street. He attacked her in the entrance of her building lobby.
