Police are searching for a man who raped a woman, a jogger, in East River Park Wednesday evening.
It happened at around 7:30 p.m. in the area between the bandshell and Jackson Street. The suspect approached the 26-year-old woman and tried to engage her in conversation before going on the attack. After sexually assaulting the victim, he rode off on a bicycle. The woman was bruised and scraped and taken to Beth Israel Hospital.
