–The prosecution has rested its case in the Sheldon Silver federal corruption trial. The defense will not call any witnesses. In court yesterday, the Times reports, “Mr. Silver rose, and Judge (Valerie) Caproni addressed him, saying that he had the right to testify and that the decision was ultimately his alone to make. Mr. Silver said he understood, and then the judge asked if he wanted to testify. In a barely audible voice, he replied, “I do not wish to testify.” Closing arguments will take place Monday; no court session today or tomorrow.

–From Notify NYC: The NYPD has issued a Silver Alert for the disappearance of Houzhi Guo, a 78-year-old Asian male. He is described as being 5’5″, 115lbs. Mr. Guo was last seen on 11/18/15 at approximately 3:00 PM in the area of Monroe Street and Market Street in Manhattan. He is visiting from China and speaks only Cantonese Chinese. He was last seen wearing black pants, a yellow jacket and grey sneakers. If seen, call 9-1-1. See photo above.
