Here are some of the things happening on the Lower East Side today:
–It’s Veterans Day. That means a day off for the New York City public schools. Alternate side parking is suspended due to the holiday.
–This evening at 7:30, it’s the monthly meeting of the 7th Precinct Community Council. Everyone is welcome to attend; 19 1/2 Pitt St. (at Delancey Street).
–At 8:30 p.m., singer/songwriter Dan Navarro (see photo) will play Rockwood Music Hall, 196 Allen St. More info here.
–At 10 p.m., the Slipper Room offers “Glitter Gutter,” a night of “fast, loose burlesque and variety.” 167 Orchard St., $10.
–From 5-9 p.m., Wendy Mink Jewelry is hosting a vintage jewelry and lingerie trunk show. Marteau Jewelry and Wildfell Hall Vintage are coming together for the show. 72 Orchard St. Drinks and snacks will be available.
